Young performers in Burton-on-Trent are being given the opportunity to learn from a professional performer when Razzamataz Burton-on-Trent welcomes Kirsty Ingram for a special Hairspray workshop on 17 October.
The workshop will take place at John Taylor Free School and will be open to young people aged 6–18.
Kirsty Ingram is an experienced professional performer and choreographer whose credits include Hairspray, Cats, Grease, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Addams Family, Bugsy Malone and other West End and touring productions. She has also worked with leading choreographers including Arlene Phillips, Drew McOnie and Bill Deamer.
The Hairspray workshop will give young people the chance to experience professional musical theatre training first-hand, developing their performance skills while working on material inspired by the hit musical.
Razzamataz Burton-on-Trent is a performing arts school offering classes in singing, dancing and drama for children aged 4–18. The school officially launched on 12 September and is now welcoming local families to its Saturday classes at John Taylor Free School.
