Burton Albion's Professional Development Phase (PDP) side have had their fixtures for the 2026/27 EFL Youth Alliance confirmed. Managed by Shaun Barker and Dave Freeman, the young Brewers have been placed in the North Division and will face sides including Wrexham, Preston North End and Carlisle United.

The season begins this Saturday with a 12.30pm kick-off away at Walsall. The following week brings a trip to Carlisle United, before the opening month concludes with home games against Rotherham United and Notts County. The Notts County fixture falls on Saturday 29 August, the same day the first team host Rovers.

Busy October ahead

October is the busiest month with five fixtures lined up. Albion start the month at home against Salford City and end it with Lincoln City at home, sandwiching back-to-back away trips to Wrexham and Mansfield Town plus a home clash with Preston North End.

Festive fixtures and campaign finish

The PDP side travel to Grimsby Town on 19 December for their final fixture before the holidays, then return to action away at Chesterfield on 9 January. The season concludes on Saturday 24 April with a home fixture against Doncaster Rovers — the same day the first team host Rovers.

The majority of home fixtures will be played at Loughborough University, though locations and kick-off times are subject to change. The full fixture list is available via Burton Albion FC.
