Burton Albion Women travel to Evesham United Ladies this Sunday (23 August) for the Preliminary Round of the Women's FA Cup. The tie, numbered 68, kicks off at 2pm at Evesham United FC on Cheltenham Road in Evesham (WR11 2LZ).
Admission to the match is £3 for adults, £1 for concessions and under-16s, and free for under-5s.
Competition Format
The Preliminary Round brings together clubs from Tier 6 and below of the women's football pyramid on a regional basis. Across the country, 286 Preliminary Round ties are taking place.
Evesham United Ladies were crowned Midwest Counties Female Football League champions last season and will compete in the West Midlands Regional Women's Football League Division One South this term. Burton Albion Women will compete in the corresponding Northern division of the regional league system.
New Coaching Team
Sunday's fixture will mark the first competitive match for Burton Albion Women's new coaching team. Heidi Sloan takes charge as Head Coach, with Dan Brazier as Assistant Head Coach.
Next Round
Should Albion progress to the First Qualifying Round, they will face either Inkberrow Ladies or Walsall Women at home on Sunday 6 September.
