Burton Albion has signed Harvey Araujo from Fulham for an undisclosed fee. The 21-year-old left-sided defender has committed to a three-year deal at the Pirelli Stadium, with the option of an additional season.

Career Path

Araujo joined Fulham's academy at age 12 and progressed through the age groups. At 16, he was part of the side that reached the U18 Premier League Cup final. By 19, he was in the U21 squad that won the Premier League Cup after beating Tottenham Hotspur.

He has since gained senior football experience across two League Two seasons. Araujo made 23 appearances across all competitions for Chesterfield during 2024/25 before injury ruled him out of their end-of-season play-offs. He then spent 2025/26 with Colchester United, making 31 appearances as the club finished mid-table under manager Danny Cowley.

Club Response

Burton Albion head coach Gary Bowyer said: "We are pleased to be able to bring Harvey to the club. He has experience of playing men's football in Sky Bet League Two, so we look forward to working with him and continuing his development."

Sporting Director Richard Dorman added: "Harvey is a really promising young player and someone who perfectly fits the type of player we are looking to work with here at Burton Albion. He is comfortable on the ball, and, more importantly, he is a defender first. To get Harvey here on a long-term deal is fantastic, and we look forward to seeing how he develops in the years to come."
