Burton Albion FC has announced the arrival of midfielder Will Collar on a season-long loan from MK Dons. The 29-year-old joins Head Coach Gary Bowyer's squad following his second promotion out of Sky Bet League Two, where he made 22 appearances for Paul Warne's side.

Playing history

Collar is a product of Brighton & Hove Albion's Academy. He made his senior debut for the Seagulls in their second-round Carabao Cup tie against Southampton in 2018/19. The following season he joined Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Premiership, where he made 25 appearances across two seasons.

He then moved to Stockport County, where he spent four and a half seasons and made 170 appearances, scoring 36 goals and providing 15 assists. During his time at Edgeley Park, he was part of sides that won the National League title in 2021/22 and the Sky Bet League Two title in 2023/24, before helping the club reach the Sky Bet League One play-offs in 2024/25.

Upon his release from Stockport, Collar joined MK Dons at Stadium MK. He featured regularly during the first half of the 2025/26 campaign before a hamstring injury curtailed his season around the turn of the year. He has returned to fitness during pre-season.
