Burton upon Trent’s Christmas lights switch-on will take place in the Market Place on Sunday 22 November, East Staffordshire Borough Council has confirmed.
The event will include a main stage and family entertainment, with festive food and drink stalls from 2pm.
The Christmas lights switch-on and a fireworks display are planned from 5pm. A funfair will continue into the evening.
Councillor Paul Walker, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Cultural Development, said the council was looking forward to starting the festive season with an event offering activities and food and drink for families.
The council says further programme details will be announced in due course. No performers or additional timetable have been confirmed in the release.
