The Recruitment Group has announced its acquisition of Ethero, the recruitment business with a presence in Burton-on-Trent.
The deal follows The Recruitment Group’s management buyout in December 2025, according to the announcement supplied by the company.
Ethero was established in 2009 and provides temporary, permanent and contract staffing. Its work covers sectors including manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, engineering, construction and commercial roles.
The Recruitment Group says the acquisition will expand its Midlands presence and bring together the two companies’ recruitment expertise.
Gareth Hughes, managing director of Ethero, will remain with the group. He said he wanted to help drive future growth for Ethero and the wider business.
Paul Hipkiss, managing director of The Recruitment Group, said he was pleased to complete the deal and looked forward to working with Hughes.
No purchase price was disclosed in the supplied announcement. It also did not set out any confirmed changes to local staffing or services.
