Burton Albion secured a 2-1 victory over Leyton Orient at the Pirelli Stadium, recovering from a first-half deficit to claim all three points. Kegs Chauke and Will Collar scored for Gary Bowyer's side, with Collar netting his first goal for the club. Alex Gilbert had given the visitors the lead from a free kick in the first half.

Match Report

Leyton Orient started on the front foot, creating multiple corners in succession during the opening exchanges. Burton felt they should have been awarded a penalty when Raphael was brought down by Morris on six minutes, but referee Richard Eley waved away the appeals.

The Brewers began to build momentum as the half progressed. Caylan Vickers tested Nathan Baxter from distance in the 14th minute, before Charlie Webster forced another save with a left-footed strike. Harvey Araujo also went close from the edge of the area.

A breakthrough came for Orient in the 34th minute. After Mark O'Mahony was booked, Alex Gilbert sent in a free kick from the near side. Rather than crossing, Gilbert curled a low effort around the wall and past Corey Addai into the near post to give the visitors the lead. Burton had two chances to level moments later through O'Mahony and Vickers, but both efforts were dealt with by Baxter.

Albion equalised on 56 minutes. Caylan Vickers drove forward before laying the ball off for Kegs Chauke, who cut inside and beat Baxter with a reversed effort towards the near left post.

Gary Bowyer made a substitution on 57 minutes, withdrawing Mark O'Mahony and introducing Gbemi Arubi. Leyton Orient responded with two changes of their own around the hour mark, bringing on Aaron Connolly and Phil Chinedu.

As the match entered the final stages, Burton kept up the pressure. Charlie Webster went close with a curling effort that drifted wide on 74 minutes. With five minutes of normal time remaining, the Brewers hit the front. Caylan Vickers delivered a ball across the area from the far side for Will Collar to slide home and complete the comeback.
